In May 2026, Shanté Edmonds was named director of mortgage servicing at the SC State Housing Finance & Development Authority (SC Housing). In this role, Edmonds’s responsibilities include ensuring compliance with federal and private insurer regulations and the restrictions of the indentures and resolutions as they pertain to the servicing of single-family mortgages.

Prior to assuming her current position, Edmonds has served in a number of roles within the agency’s mortgage servicing areas, beginning her career with SC Housing in 2003. Edmonds has curated an extensive career in bankruptcy and foreclosure at SC Housing, serving as the collections and foreclosure services manager for eight years.

Edmonds has a Bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Phoenix, and she is a recent graduate of South Carolina’s Certified Public Manager program.
