Columbia celebrates grand opening of Midtown at BullStreet

Tuesday, Oct 7, 2025

COLUMBIA, SC – City and state officials, community partners, and development leaders gathered today to celebrate the ribbon cutting of Midtown at BullStreet, a new affordable housing community located in Columbia’s BullStreet District. The development delivers 90 rental apartment homes and townhomes designed to provide high-quality, affordable living opportunities in one of the state’s most vibrant and historic redevelopment areas.

Developed by Connelly Development, LLC of Lexington, S.C., Midtown at BullStreet sits on two acres near the recently dedicated Page Ellington Park, a 20-acre public green space. The community includes 18 two-bedroom townhomes and 72 one-, two-, and three-bedroom garden-style apartments. Residents will enjoy amenities such as a community room, computer center, fitness facility, playground, and gazebo.

The BullStreet District, a 181-acre mixed-use redevelopment just one mile from the State House, is quickly becoming a model for inclusive urban revitalization.
