Peaks of Lexington celebrates opening, creating 78 new units

COLUMBIA, SC – Yesterday, the Peaks of Lexington celebrated its ribbon-cutting, marking the opening of the newest affordable housing community in Lexington County.

Located off Highway 1 near Lexington High School, the development includes 78 units ranging from one to three bedrooms.

Apartments are reserved for households earning 30, 50, or 60 percent of the area median income. According to the latest census data, the median income in Lexington County is approximately $75,000.

Property managers report that rents start at $424 for a one-bedroom unit, with three-bedroom units capped at $1,183.
